PLC Project Change Tracking
Every Save. Every Change. Tracked.
LogixTrack keeps every saved *.ACD as a version and shows what changed between any two of them – rung by rung, down to the instruction. No discipline required: it works in the background while you program.
30 days, full features, no account. Windows 10/11 with Studio 5000 Logix Designer and the Logix Designer SDK.
Commissioning, a night shift fix, three engineers on one project: LogixTrack answers "what is different from yesterday?" in seconds, without exporting anything by hand.
Watches your project folders. Each save of an ACD is exported to L5X in the background and kept as a version, with the time it was saved.
Ladder rungs, Structured Text, Function Block and SFC routines, tags and their types, UDTs, AOIs, modules and tasks – shown per routine, with the changed lines highlighted.
Next to each other, or the first and the last of a whole commissioning. Pick a day in the calendar to see everything that changed on it.
Open any pair of versions in Logix Designer Compare Tool with one click. LogixTrack keeps the ACD files it needs for that.
Working online and not saving? Optionally, LogixTrack takes a read-only snapshot from the controller after a while, so online edits are in the history too.
Import a folder of earlier ACD copies – including Logix Designer's own .BAK files – and get their history in date order.
This is how LogixTrack shows a change to one rung: the rung in full, the changed instructions marked.
LogixTrack runs in the notification area. Your projects stay where they are; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Choose the folders where your ACD projects live and where the history is kept.
Save in Logix Designer. LogixTrack exports a copy of the saved project through the Logix Designer SDK – your open project is never touched.
Open the version history from the tray: versions, the changes of each, any two compared, notes, Compare Tool.
Buy once, use it for as long as you like.

Try it first: 30 days, all features. After the trial your version history stays readable; new saves are tracked again once you activate.
Windows 10 or 11, Studio 5000 Logix Designer and the Logix Designer SDK (on the Studio 5000 media, it installs the .NET runtime LogixTrack uses). LogixTrack itself installs per user, without administrator rights.
No. LogixTrack exports a temporary copy of each saved ACD; the file you work on is only read. The snapshot from the controller only reads from the controller and is off unless you turn it on.
No. The history stays in a folder on your PC (or a network share you choose). The only connection LogixTrack makes is the activation: the licence key, a machine code and the PC name.
Yes. LogixTrack shows a machine code; enter it with your licence key on the activation page from any other device, and copy the licence file you get to the PC.
In LogixTrack open Activate and choose "Deactivate this PC"; the key then activates the new PC. If the old PC is gone, write to us with its machine code.
Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record: they handle payment, VAT and invoices. Your licence key is shown right after the purchase and sent by e-mail.
The versions your installed Logix Designer SDK supports. LogixTrack is tested with Studio 5000 Logix Designer v35 and a Compact GuardLogix 5380 controller, safety program included.
